Dear efus User, we got a EOL notice of the resistive Touch controller SX8655 used on our Evaluation System und supported at our OS. We have checked the pinout and registers of Semtech SX8675 and we see, this chip does have the same pinout and the same register settings and values. At our baseboard the SX8675 does work with a resistive touch with our actual driver without any change. So customers are able to test and release this controller as an replacement. The full order number is SX8675IWLTRT…

If you are using the Baseboard schematic from our homepage we strictly recommend to use Eagle (R) Version 6 or later. This is because the needful differential routing feature is implemented at this version. We don't support older versions. FS-support_KW

Dear Mobius, changes between Rev 1.30 and Rev 1.31 are - fix a solder shape for a non mounted external RTC (we need this for one customer) - fix the USB device (was powering the CPU board thrue VBUS) - changing the production panel size All of this changes doesn't have influence on SW. We already shipped >800 Boards with this new revision. Do you have this problem just with a single board ore with multiple boards? The LVDS connector is following the JILI30 standard and does just have display signals. There ar no signals and/or power for the backlight. Normally a LVDS display also have one connector for the display signals and a second one for the backlight (what type do you have?). The backlight control signals VBL_ON and the PWM BL_CTRL are available on the goldfinger connector pin 89&87. Please refer the HW manual and the schematic of our reference Kit available on our homepage. fs-support_KW

Dear ThomasHummelink, using RGB displays is sometime a nightmare on EMI side. It's always helpful to use a cable as short as possible. Also using an adaptation with less impedance changes is helpful. The RGB traces on your baseboard should be impedance controlled with 50-60 Ohm. Most customers needs housing with shielding, that means a EMI closed metal case or a plastic case with vacuum metalisation. Adding a I2C touch controller is not a main feature of the QBliss standard. So the implementation has to consider several points in hard- and software. Please contact our technical support via your sales partner. regards fs-support_KW

This is depend your environment and your application. You need to measure the power consumption of your module and have to calculate the right cooling solution in dependence on your environment. There is influence from your application, the air temperature around the board, the airflow around the board and the power consumption and heating of the other components on your system like additional electronic, LCD and power supply. The rule for the QBliss board is: the board temperature shouldn't exc…

-Board has hand-made wirings instead of a component on the centre of the board, it is normal? (Considering that is an evaluation board). It's a beta sample. Board needs a redesign. It's almost working with this patches. -We would like to know when you will be at full production, so we know how to handle orders. Please ask your sales partner for production and delivery times. -We also saw that on page 14 "Thermal design power" is 4A. What does it mean? 4A on 5Volt input, 4A on the internal 3.3V o…
