A new kernel version that now includes the CAN driver and some other small adaptions has been released.
A new bootloader version (V1.1) is also available.
Both files can be found in the password-protected download area of the PicoCOM1.
To get more informatioen about changes of each released version please take a look in the history-file within the corresponding directory.

According to several request a new kernel variant is available that includes the Compact Framework 2.0 instead of version 3.5.
Additionatly the new kernels now include the native I2C driver, whose documentation can be found in the public download-area on the PicoCOM homepage. To be able to use the I2C port, the headerfile ni2cio.h is required and therefore appended to this post. It will be part of the next SDK version.

WindowsCE Kernel version 1.5 has been released. Main features are:
- DIO Driver now supportes Interrupts. Detailled information about the interfacing can be found in the Device-Driver documentation.
- Some bugfixes and performance enhancments in the CAN-Driver.
- German Keyboard support.
- SD-Cardloader bugfix now applied correctly (which was not the case in 1.4).

The ethernet driver now enables the possibility to adjust the link speed manually. How to use this feature is described in the latest device driver documentation.

Due to some requests we now have established a new kernel image version, including support for Real Time Communication (RTC) used for VoiceOverIP (VOIP) applications.
To develop a VOIP application an extended SDK is required which is available for download, too.
The API of the RTC is documented very well and there are a lot of examples available in the internet. Here are some links for introduction:

New versions of the bootloader and kernel image have been released this week. Main changes are:
EBoot V1.4:
- Using this bootloader will fix the problem with cerhost (remote display client) where the platform name is blank in some situations.
Kernel V1.10 (090603):
- Bugfix in CAN driver occuring when receiving a 8byte message
- ActiveSync connection will be established stable.

The latest kernel release now includes support of the "Failsafe Flash Filesystem" (F3S). F3S is a filesystem that is designed for usage on Nand flash memories (FFSDISK) and features a transaction safety on file-level. It is fully robust against power outages and guarantees to store application data on the flash disk safely. More information can be found at the F3S product description at our homepage.

It only inlcudes some small enhancements (audio driver).

New kernel images are available (V1.17)
There where only applied some small changes and bugfixes that are noted in the history text file.
A new feature that we like to point out here is the latest NDCUCFG version that now includes some additional functionality.
It now is possible to update Eboot during runtime with the ndcucfg command "boot write". But please keep in mind that updating Eboot always is a dangerous thing. If something goes wrong during updating your board may get damaged.
Additionatly there are some new commands to control Windows CE power manager.

Today kernel version 1.19 has been released.
In the SD card driver there now is a new feature available to disable multiple block write commands. We noticed that some cards have problems with these commands so that this option can be used to solve these problems. This option is updated in the latest PicoCOM1 device driver documentation.
