  • Hello,

in the folder FFSDISK\StartUp\ is the Application ( .exe - File)
    The Application starts automaticaly
In the Application is no "Exit" Button.

How can i exit the application or inhibit the autostart of the Application.

at first i delete the registry keys HKLM\init\

    Launch100 CheckAutoStart.exe
    Depend100 1E00

but there is no effect, the Application starts always.

    Thanks
    Thomas

  • Applications that are availabe in startup folder will be startet by explorer.exe. Therefore one solution might be disabling explorer and delete the application after reboot.
But a more simple solution might be using shell to kill your application and delete it immediatly.

    Code
    1. shell -c

The "gi proc" command will list all proccesses running.

    Code
    1. :> gi proc

To a kill a specific process call

    Code
    1. :> kp <PID>

Some details about shell can also be found at <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://developce.blogspot.de/2009/06/target-control-from-ide.html">http://developce.blogspot.de/2009/06/ta ... m-ide.html</a><!-- m --> or with the embedded help command.

  • Hello,

this morning i found a simple way:

Connect USB Keyboard, press Alt-TAB, this calls Task Manager, and the you can "End Task"

    Thanks
    Thomas

    p.s. what does "CheckAutoStart.exe" ?

  • CheckAutoStart is a background task that checks for special data structures on inserted media (USB stick, SD-Card). If a special directory and file structure is found, a program from the media can be started automatically (hence the name).

For example we use this together with our Update Program. This is a software that can be copied to a USB stick or SD card, together with new files and a script file telling which files to replace. Now you can simply insert this stick or card into your application device. A window pops up showing that the update device is detected and that you should restart the system. After reboot, the main application is prohibited to start and the update process takes place by copying the new files to the system. If the update is successful, the old version is deleted and after a second restart you have an updated system. If the update fails due to some reason, for example a damaged file on the USB stick, a roll-back takes place and the old version of the application is restored. This keeps the system in a runnable state in any case. In addition, the update software takes care of interrupts during the update process, e.g. by a power failure. After restart it can resume the update from where it was stopped.

The Update Program is an add-on package that can be purchased for WinCE.
