May 13th 2005 #1 I have tried to set BPP to 8 to get 256 gray shades for my STN display. But it does not work.
May 13th 2005 #2 NetDCU8 supports the following pixel depths for STN displays:1, 2 and 4. So the maximum amount of gray shades is 16.
