Serial problem with efusA9

  • Hey everybody,
i have a problem with efusA9. it can't enable to connect with Putty. i receive permanently garbled characters after pressing reset button. I'm using an USB dongle (serial TTL FT232RL) to communicate with efusA9 board.
    serial settings are as below:
    - baudrate 115200 (like in F&S document)
    - 8 bit
    - 1 stop
    - parity none
    - flow control none

    Could anyone help me, please

  • How did you connect the PC to the efusA9? Which port? What lines are connected how? Do you use the starterkit? Have you tried a different terminal program? Have you tried a different serial adapter? Have you tried a different computer?

Does the problem persist in all these cases?

I'm working with starterkit that has efusA9.unfortunately this problem
does persist in all cases. I have tried different ways to let serial
port works. I'm using the debug port and only RXD, TXD and GND are
connected. I tried also the other serial ports but they don't work, i used putty and the DcuTerm from F&S but they are making
same problem. it seems like that starterkit issues with pins i think
the serial ports have problem with footprint. I have 2 staterkits and 2
efusA9-modules (Solo/DualLite) the serial ports on both starterkits are
not the same. the serial b port on starterkit 1 has no GND . I loaded
some fotos to show you the defferents between both starterkits on serial
    ports.

  • Can you tell us what was wrong in the end?
