The device opens correct, I test for INVALID_HANDLE_VALUE. And DeviceIoControl returns false. I have error handling code for every function call for the DIO functions by now.

I seem to have the same problem, all DeviceIoControl function calls return error 31, but the CreateFile function returns without error. So is there already a solution available?

I have tried already everything suggested above and the code examples from the device driver guide too. Could the registry value ioctl cause this?
