Hi there, if i remember correctly:

First start ESHELL and Point on the image file

    Then:

Normally Start into Bootloader using DCUTermi --> SHIFT+S

Set Network Parameters "N" (IP Address, MAC Address, SubnetMask, ...)

    Set FlashMemory as target "MF"

    Start Kernel after Downloading "L1"

Start Download via Ethernet "DE" (i think it was this parameter, if not "h" shows help)

and then it should do it alone

    Dear F+S Support.

May you please repair the links shown in this article?

I have a separate question to the kiosk mode.

Will it work, even if i have dependencies to the explorer.exe and even if i have set an password on the device?

    regards

    Ralf

i compared with meld and winmerge the sdk folders and saw some differences in several header files. but if this makes no difference and i can use same sdk for the different platforms, i will not have to build binaries for every target any longer

    Hello Mr. Zutter,

thx for the response. What should tell me the qouted part above?

When i change something in the registry, for example:

reg enum ...shows MyValue = 10

    so i write:

reg set value MyValue DWORD 100

then MyValue is 100 after that, not 110.

So i dont understand what you have ment with that snipped above.

reg set showed Flags=16 before. correct.

i set to DWORD 4, saved, and got 20 after restart.

I did not found 16 or 20 here: MSDN ActivateDeviceEx

    Hi there,

i use the following files on NetDCU A5:

    NBoot: nbootvyb_14.bin
    EBoot: EBOOTVYB_15.nb0
    Kernel: XIPVYB_C7E_V2.8_171206.bin

i need to disable several services & drivers which i do not need for the device.

So normally i would use DEVFLAGS_NOLOAD @ Flags, which is located under \services\httpd for example.

After setting Flags DWORD 4 (DEVFLAGS_NOLOAD) and using "reg save" command i reboot the system.

At next startup, driver is still loaded and shows FLAGS = 20 in ndcucfg.

Why i cannot disable several services?

    regards,

    Ralf

Thanks for this phantastic news about a new kernel release, but where i can download it?
It's not in the main folder, not in archive and not in beta.
Is this one the official replacement of (BetaVersion) XIPVYB_C7E_V2.8_170719_BETA.zip?

    best regards,
    Ralf

Are there new informations about the Virtual Free Failure, we talked about in February?

    Regards,
    Ralf

now after installing the ftpd.ar.cab again, and changing the path to \ffsdisk\ftpd.dll, saving and rebooting. the behaviour is as like as the ftpd.dll which comes with the image-file. so i will continue the use of ftpd-arm version from 4.1. because this satisfies my needs.

With this it is possible to logon with a created username and a not matching password, when needed (DEBUGGING of external Software). [therefore set UseAuthentication = 0] and normal use, with UseAuthentication = 1, where Password has to match with the password of the FTP-Useraccount.
    So no worries about security.

    thread can be closed now.
    thank you, and regards

ok. i found out, the installer did not had changed the path correctly. so now i have installed the 4.1 version. with the results i expected. i will now try the one from the cab file again, with correcting the path. i will see if the version from the installer shows the same behaviour as the 4.1 version.

    regards,
    Ralf

    Hello Mr. Zutter,

i now replaced the .dll, with the one on ffsdisk, which came with the cab file, you sent the last time.

The result is the same as before. How can i check, which dll version is loaded? Because if still the wrong dll is loaded, i would get the same behaviour as before.
Right now i'm scanning the registry with remote registry editor, for finding the path \ffsdisk\ftpd.dll which i think should be registered by the cab file, if i'm not wrong.

    regards,
    Ralf

    thank you mr zutter :)

creating key "[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\NdisPower]" and value "<adaptername>1"=DWORD:4 now disabled the adapter, so that would do the thing.

    to the Virtual free failure:
i did not know if i understand correctly: the only infos to the error i can give to you:
if i enable COM3 again: by deleting the "flags = DWORD:4" value, then prompts debugout is normal. during this occours, there is no app of me running which tries to use COM3. i only wanted to disable COM3 because of the use of additional AIN

    Ralf

    Hello,

when i disable UART3 in HKLM\drivers\builtin\NetDCUA5\UART3 using Flags dword 4

i get this in the DebugPrompt at startup. Is this normal, have i done something wrong? Or should i ignore it?

Another question at disabling Drivers is: is it possible to disable EthnetB1 completely?
