Changing the HDMI resolution

  • How do I change the resolution of the HDMI output?
I have run the hdmicfg tool via telnet and tried "hdmicfg -HDMI on 5" but that doesn't seem to change anything as hdmicfg -info told me.

    Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Sorry beacuse of choosing wrong section.

  • Hello,
is the resolution really wrong? Or is onle the origin displaced?
    Try

    Code
    1. HDMICfg -HDMI on 5
    2. HDMICfg -GRP0 on <x> <y>

    Does this help?

  • No, resolution is wrong as hdmicfg -info tells me. It remains at 720P 60Hz.
But when I typed hdmicfg -info there is just DVI as an available mode, is that correct?

EDIT: I got it. I do not know that i had to switch the whole thing off before i am able to change something. My fault.

  • You are right, you must disable GRP and HDMI before you can change something.
Best way to change and test different modes is:

    Code
    1. hdmicfg -GRP0 off -HDMI off -HDMI on 5 -GRP0 on

Use the above command line to test different output modes.
