Boot problems

  • Hello,

    I am using a picoCom4, and trying to run through the getting started routine, connecting the board to my pc. In DCUterminal, however, when the board starts up, all I get is this:

    <0>y<-84><-116><-87>r<-60>W<-87><-27><-109> 2<-55><-109>KL<-93><-107>Q<-55>K<-111><-56><-77><-91><-109>r<-46><-88><-113>=<-86>M2-B1<-78><-2><-13><-26>f<-26><-93><-98><-67><-107>C<-92><-14><-13>Rr<-6><-60>3b<-124><-53>R<-87><-87><2>r<-110>D<-98>=y<-42><-12>3<6><0>

    I am using a 3V3 TTL serial cable, as I was given the starter kit by a distributor without the cable that you provide, however I can verify that it works correctly with other products. I have it connected to pins Rx and Tx of COM1, and ground connected to pin 9.

    I have checked that my power supply is connected.

    I have also checked my DCUterminal settings, which are as specified in the manual.

    Can anybody please advise?

    Thank you.

  • The 10 pin connectors on the PicoCOM startinterface have RS232 level and you need a null moden cable to connet to the PC.
    See starterkit hardware documentation.
    Which baudrate do you use?
    38400 is the standard baudrate for F&S products.
