Watchdog handling imx2-wdt

  • Hello,

I was working with the Watchdog under LInux on an armStoneA9 board. I've seen that that the driver is loaded during boot with the nowayout options:
    imx2-wdt imx2-wdt.0: IMX2+ Watchdog Timer enabled. timeout=60s (nowayout=1)

But I need to able to close the Watchdog during norml operation. So, I was wondering if there is a parameter for U-Boot or something else, to be able to set the nowayout option to 0. I tried passing 'imx2-wdt.nowayout=0' to 'bootargs' in U-Boot without success.

    Kind regards

  • As far as I understand, the nowayout feature is activated by the first setting in the watchdog devices menu: "Disable watchdog shutdown on close" (CONFIG_WATCHDOG_NOWAYOUT). So just uncheck this setting and that should be it.
